Mr Tan Juay Hiang is an Executive Director of the Board and CEO of the Managers.
Prior to joining the Managers, Mr Tan was the Senior Vice- President of Real Estate Funds for Ascendas Pte. Ltd., where he was responsible for structuring and launching new real estate private funds, raising capital for private funds, initiating new real estate investment trusts and undertaking internal audit on the various private funds within the Ascendas Group.
From October 2007 to April 2010, Mr Tan was the fund manager for the Ascendas ASEAN Business Space Fund (the ASEAN Fund) where he was responsible for structuring the ASEAN Fund and raising US$400 million from institutional investors. During this period, he oversaw the acquisition of assets in Malaysia, Vietnam and the Philippines during the fund investment period, the aggregate development value of which amounted to approximately US$500 million. He also managed the portfolio of the ASEAN Fund and was responsible for investor relations.
Mr Tan holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) degree from the National University of Singapore and a Master of Business Administration from Nanyang Technological University.
Ms Woo Yeng Yeng
Chief Financial Officer
Ms Woo has more than 20 years of experience in audit, accounting and finance-related work. Prior to joining the Managers, she was Vice President of the Corporate Finance department of Ascendas Land (Singapore) Pte Ltd and the Chief Financial Officer of Singbridge Pte. Ltd. and its subsidiaries.
From August 2006 to July 2015, Ms Woo was with UOL Group Limited and one of its subsidiaries, PARKROYAL Parramatta, where she was Assistant Financial Controller and Director of Finance respectively. At UOL Group Limited, Ms Woo was responsible for the financial and management reporting and accounting operations. At PARKROYAL Parramatta, Ms Woo was responsible for the accounting, information technology, tax and payroll functions.
Ms Woo holds a Bachelor of Accountancy degree from the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore and a Master of Commerce (International Business) from The University of New South Wales, Australia. She is also a Chartered Accountant of Singapore with the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants.
Mr Julian Anthony
Head, Australia Operations
Mr Julian Anthony has more than 24 years of hospitality and finance management experience. Prior to joining the Managers, he was Vice President Finance at Fairmont Raffles International based in Singapore where he was responsible for the Asia Pacific region.
Between 2005 and 2014, Mr Anthony was with Starwood Hotels where he was Regional Director of Finance. Prior to that, Mr Anthony had several years of experience in the hospitality sector where he held positions including Director of Finance in several ITT Sheraton properties and was also with Aman Resorts where he oversaw the company’s ultra-luxury resorts in Indonesia in a regional finance capacity.
Mr Anthony is a graduate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators and holds a Cornell University Certificate in Hotel Real Estate Investments and Asset Management. Mr Anthony is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and CPA Australia.
Mr Tan Yoon Peng
Mr Tan Yoon Peng has more than 15 years of experience in development and investment work. Prior to joining the Managers, he was Senior Vice President for Singbridge Corporate Pte Ltd where he was responsible for overseeing their investments in Raffles City Chongqing, Singapore-Sichuan Hi-Tech Innovation Park, Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City and Business Development.
From 2007 to 2010, Mr Tan was with CapitaLand as the Asset Manager for the Raffles City Bahrain Fund and was involved in business development in the Gulf Cooperation Council and integrated developments incorporating leisure, entertainment and convention.
Mr Tan holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Honours) from the University of Toronto and is a CFA® charterholder. He has attended the Insead Asian International Executive Programme.
Ms Mary Judith de Souza
Joint Company Secretary
Ms de Souza is Joint Company Secretary at A-HTRUST, where she attends to corporate secretarial administration matters. She has more than 20 years of practice as a corporate and commercial lawyer.
Ms de Souza concurrently heads Ascendas Group’s Legal and Corporate Secretarial Department. Ms de Souza joined Ascendas in 2005 and has experience as legal counsel with a government-linked technology group and thereafter, while in practice in a local law firm based in Singapore with several branches in the region.
Ms de Souza has worked with both local and foreign companies and has a broad-based understanding of the concerns and needs of investors in Southeast Asia. As a result of her regional exposure while in legal practice, she has been able to acquire first-hand knowledge of the commercial, business, cultural and operational issues encountered in doing business outside Singapore.
Ms de Souza holds an LL.B. (Hons) degree from National University of Singapore and a Masters degree in Counselling Psychology from Monash University. She is an advocate and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore.
Mr Hon Wei Seng
Joint Company Secretary
Mr Hon is Joint Company Secretary at A-HTRUST, where he attends to corporate secretarial administration matters. He has more than 15 years of experience as corporate counsel.
Prior to his appointment with Ascendas-Singbridge in 2015, Mr Hon served as corporate counsel with Genting Singapore PLC, Stamford Land Corporation Ltd, Singapore Power, ST Telemedia and Frontline Technologies (since merged with BT Group).
Mr Hon holds LL.B. (Hons) and LL.M degrees from the National University of Singapore, and a MTM degree from the University of Queensland, Australia. He is also admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore.
